A cookie remembers which of the three site languages you chose, so the page does not reset to English every time you open it. A second value records your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear on every page. Signing in stores a session token in your browser. These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.

Aggregate page-view counting is off unless you turn it on. Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set until you accept analytics in the banner or the cookie settings.

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets two cookies on this domain: `_ga`, which holds a random identifier so repeat visits are not counted twice and expires two years after your last visit, and `_ga_*` (the name ends with the measurement ID), which keeps the state of the current visit and also expires after two years. They record which pages are read, never who read them. IP addresses are shortened, advertising features and Google Signals are switched off, and the data is never used for advertising.

Turn analytics off again in cookie settings and both cookies are deleted straight away and no further data is sent.

Open cookie settings from the link in the footer at any time, or clear the cookies for this domain in your browser and the banner will appear again.
